I'm Ben, and Baos Station is my repair bench in Richmond Hill. For almost two years I've been diagnosing PS5s, laptops and controllers at board level: measuring rails, tracing shorts and replacing the exact chip that failed.

Common questions
How long does a repair take?
Many repairs are done the same day. If a part has to be ordered, it takes 1–3 weeks. We tell you the timeline before starting.
Are prices final?
Yes. Listed prices include parts and tax. If your device needs something different, we tell you before doing any work.
Do you charge for diagnosis?
No. If we can't fix it, or you decide not to go ahead, you pay nothing.
Is my data safe?
We repair your original board, so your storage stays in place. We don't access your files.
What does the warranty cover?
Repairs have a 1-month warranty on the work done; the Gulikit TMR upgrade has 6 months. Consoles we sell come with a 7-day play-test guarantee. Drops or liquid damage after the repair aren't covered.

The rules for repairs, sales, purchases and your information. Last updated October 2026.
About these terms
These terms apply to repairs, device sales and device purchases by Baos Station, an electronics repair business based in Richmond Hill, Ontario. When you leave a device with us, buy a device from us or sell a device to us, you agree to these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada. Nothing here limits the rights you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other consumer protection laws.
Quotes, approval and No fix, no charge
Listed prices include parts and tax. We tell you the price before any work starts and only begin once you approve it. If your device needs different work than quoted, we contact you first.
No fix, no charge: if we can't repair your device, or you decline the quote, you pay nothing and we return the device to you.
Pre-existing damage and repair risk
Devices with liquid damage, previous repair attempts, corrosion or board damage can have hidden faults. Opening, testing or repairing these devices can reveal faults that were already there, and in rare cases a weak component can fail during repair. We are not responsible for faults that existed before we received the device or that are unrelated to our repair.
Opening a device may void the manufacturer's warranty (for example Sony or your laptop maker). If your device is still under manufacturer warranty, check with them before booking a repair with us.
Repair warranty
Repairs have a 1-month warranty and the Gulikit TMR stick upgrade has a 6-month warranty, both starting on the day you pick up or receive your device. The warranty covers the same fault on the part we repaired or replaced.
The warranty does not cover drops or other physical damage, liquid exposure, opening or repair of the device by anyone else after our repair, software or account problems, or faults unrelated to our repair. Bring the device and your receipt or message history to make a claim.
Your data
Please back up your data before you hand over your device. We only access the device as far as needed to test the repair and we don't look through your personal files, but we are not responsible for data loss, including saved games, files or settings.
Pickup, payment and abandoned devices
We contact you when your device is ready. Payment is due at pickup, or before we ship a mail-in device back. We may keep the device until the repair is paid for.
If a device is not picked up within 60 days after we notify you that it's ready, and after at least two further reminders by phone, text or email, we treat it as abandoned. We may then recycle, dispose of or sell it to recover our costs, as permitted by Ontario law.
Mail-in repairs and delivery
For mail-in repairs, you pay shipping both ways. Pack the device securely; we recommend a tracked and insured service. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by the shipping carrier. We record the condition of each device when it arrives.
Devices we sell
Devices we sell are used or refurbished, tested by us and sold as described in the listing.
Consoles come with a 7-day play-test guarantee from the date of purchase. If a fault appears during normal use in that time, we will repair it, replace the device, or refund you, at our choice. The guarantee does not cover physical or liquid damage or misuse. Keep your proof of purchase.
Devices we buy
By selling a device to us, you confirm that you are 18 or older, that you are the legal owner of the device, and that it is not stolen, under a financing or rental agreement, or locked to someone else's account.
For any purchase over $200, we require valid government-issued photo ID, and we record your name, ID details, the device serial number and the date. We may refuse any purchase. If a device is reported stolen, we will cooperate with police.
Our offer is based on your description and photos; the final price is confirmed after we inspect the device. Once you are paid, the sale is final. Remove your accounts and personal data before selling; we reset every device before resale.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a repair, sale or purchase is limited to the amount you paid us, or we paid you, for that device or service. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost data, lost game progress or loss of use.
Privacy
We collect the information you give us (name, phone number, email, device details and photos) to answer your request, carry out repairs, buy or sell devices, and keep business records. When you sell us a device, we may also keep the details needed for our purchase records.
We don't sell your information. Quote requests are received and stored through our website host (Netlify) and our email provider, which process them only to provide those services, including automatic spam filtering. We share your information with anyone else only when required by law or a valid police request. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. To ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, email baosstation@gmail.com.
